Concrete – crack injection
Concrete – crack injection in Zürich & surroundings – professional, durable and documented.
Eurofugen – Concrete – crack injection in the Zürich area. We prepare the joint plan, verify substrate strength and movement, and select an approved system (neutral‑cure silicone, hybrid/MS polymer, PU) in strict accordance with manufacturer specs. Focus: Chemikalien – Medienliste. Planning priority: Fugenaufbau (Hinterfüllprofil, Primer, 2:1‑Geometrie). Standards: EN 15651 / ISO 11600; resistances per product data sheet.
Quality & acceptance
- UV/weather‑resistant sealants fit to exposure
- Joint width/depth per plan (≈ 2:1)
- Crisp edges without staining
- Uniform, slightly concave finish profile
- Ensure bond at two flanks; prevent three‑sided adhesion using PE backer rod
Planning & preparation
We verify weather and dew point; application only on dry, load‑bearing flanks. Create square, sound flanks, define depth and install the closed‑cell backer rod precisely. Detailing at edges, reveals and penetrations is recorded in drawings. Joint layout based on panel sizes and anticipated movement; critical edge zones are eased. Primers are chosen per substrate absorption (e.g., clinker, fair‑faced concrete, fibre cement). Mock‑ups with cut‑and‑pull checks provide pre‑approval.
Application & control
Apply sealant without bubbles, fill the joint evenly and tool to a slightly concave profile. Transitions at profile joints and material changes are re‑worked separately. Random cut‑and‑pull checks, width/depth measurements and visual inspection are recorded. Maintain movement capability; remove masking in due time and verify edge adhesion. Use UV‑stable systems and protect adjacent surfaces from contamination.
On natural stone we use low‑migration, stone‑safe systems.
Care guidance and maintenance intervals are included at handover.

Planning & preparation
Clean substrates, define edges and limit bond areas; primers & backer rod are matched to substrate and width. Mock‑ups and dew‑point checks secure approval. Interfaces are coordinated before start.
Frequently asked questions (Industrial/Concrete)
-
How are joints documented?
Photos, material data and a handover protocol.
-
When is traffic allowed again?
Often after 24–48 h depending on product/temperature.
-
How is crack injection executed?
Open/clean the crack, set packers, inject resin, close the surface.
-
Section‑by‑section refurbishment?
Yes, during operation if needed.
-
Chemical resistance—how verified?
Via media lists and, if needed, lab approvals.
-
Which Shore hardness for Concrete – crack injection?
Depends on forklift/traffic loads; selected by data sheet and use class.
-
How to prevent edge spalling?
Correct geometry, backer rod and optional edge armouring.
